My friends dad had it and his eyes turn red and start hurting every night past 9. Is this true? what else could happen?

My coworker had it, and now has allergies (dry, itchy eyes, watery eyes, etc), and her eyes get sore a lot. Also, it didn’t fix her vision 100%, so she still has to wear glasses.

I was about to have the surgery, but she’s had so many complications that I decided not to.

Some times the laser can over correct. So from a short sight you can go to a ling sight.

Your friend’s dad needs to go back to his doctor for a check up immediately.

I had it done and its WONDERFUL i went to this place called Lasik Plus (they’re all over the place). Yeah you could go blind but what are the chances. Trash the contacts and glasses and go for it!

Diadvantage: you still might need to wear glasses!! The op can often affect your night vision meaning you need glasses to drive at night. Or sometimes the op isn’t 100% accurate so that your eyesight is much better but not perfect, so you still need glasses.

But there are also lots of advantages.

The disadvantages, apart from the cost, only apply to a minority of the people who have it done…
Somewhere between 1 and 5% depending on source and what is counted as a disadvantage.
The most commonly reported problems are
The refraction not being as near zero has hoped,
Dry eye problems, (temporarily or permanently)
    Night-time glare or starriness.
More severe problems do occur, more rarely.

I’ve researched this several times on the internet, and I’m now settling on a couple of websites to address your sort of question, whuich comes up regularly.
The FDA’s own set of pages.
And a reproduction of a fairly standard consent form.

Dry eyes. My husband has a co-worker who had this done and she has to keep using eyedrops to keep her eyes from drying out and becoming irritated.

Why don’t you pop in to a Lasik center for a free consultation and get your questions answered by the doctor….
