I don’t believe there are any statistics on color blind people who have LASIK. At least not that I am aware of.
Color blindness should not affect your eligibility for LASIK surgery because with most color blindness, your visual acuity is not affected and most people are not completely colorblind (and see the world in black and white). But there are certain diseases/disorders that decreases your vision and color perception, they are just pretty rare.
Unfortunately it is not possible to fix color blindness. What is affected in color blindness in the pigment in the cone cells in the retina. There are two kinds of photoreceptors in the retina, rods and cones, and these are the cells responsible for “seeing”. The rods are responsible for your peripheral vision and night vision, while the cones are responsible for fine detail in your central vision and color. When the pigments in your cones don’t work correctly, you perceive color in a decreased way, compared to what someone “normal” sees.
Some people with color deficiences (because they are not tototally colorblind) may benefit from looking through tinted lenses to make the certain colors brighter that they have a hard time seeing. But other than that, there really isn’t anything you can do about color blindness at this point.
